The EarthCube Polar High-Performance Distributed Computing Research Coordination Network (Polar HPDC RCN) is now recruiting proposals for a polar computing hackathon at XSEDE16 this July 17-21 in Miami. The 2-page proposals are due March 15, 2016.  Winners will receive travel and expenses to attend the XSEDE ’16 conference and will have the opportunity to work with a team of computer scientists at no cost to make significant progress on their polar project over the course of a 2-day hackathon.  No experience in high performance computing needed.
