APECS arranges a webinar 7th June on making maps and figures with Quantarctica. Even though the focus is the Antarctic, this may also be of relevance for an Arctic audience: http://www.apecs.is/career-resources/webinars/upcoming-webinars/1789-webinar-making-antarctic-maps-and-figures-with-quantarctica.html

You are cordially invited to the reception held to celebrate the book launch of INTERACT Stories of Arctic Science. This highly illustrated popular science book contains stories of cutting-edge Arctic research supported by INTERACT Transnational Access, as told by 138 scientists from 17 countries. The book consists of seven sections focusing on landscape-forming processes, glaciers and permafrost environments, ground processes that store and release greenhouse gases, the ecology of land and freshwater, and the Peoples of the Arctic. These topics are all interconnected and together contribute to the “Arctic System” – a system of great global importance but one that is changing dramatically. We are also celebrating the launch of a mass outreach video course based on the book and supported by INTERACT, Tomsk State University and the University of the Arctic. We are looking forward to welcoming you to celebrate with us and to giving you a complimentarycopy of the book! Terry Callaghan & Hannele Savela Editors of the book INTERACT |
